Michael Beale and the relentless Rangers demand as boss 'won't be satisfied' until they overtake Celtic

Richard Foster insists the upturn in Rangers form since the arrival of Michael Beale is clear - though the former Ibrox full-back suggests the boss "won't be satisfied" until they win the league.

The Light Blues have enjoyed a turnaround in results since the Londoner took over from Gio van Bronckhorst, with Beale enjoying an 11 game unbeaten streak since stepping into the hot seat at Ibrox. In fact, Had it not been for a Kyogo equaliser in the final moments of the showdown with Celtic, Beale would have had a 100 per cent winning record.

While Ange Postecoglou's men have not slipped up to allow their rivals an opening in the title race, Foster believes the signs of improvement are there. He admits Scottish Premiership title success may not come this term but reckons the clear mentality switch at Ibrox that Beale has managed to take in his stride will make Rangers a feared outfit going forward this term.

He told Sportsound: "They are getting better every week and the intensity in which they are playing is growing each week. You see players like (Ryan) Kent and (Fashion) Sakala coming to the fore and producing performances, scoring goals and getting assists.

"Managers don't tend to ever be happy with the way the team is playing and always want more. Until Rangers are top of the league and winning it Michael Beale won't be satisfied with the way they are playing.

"They are moving in the right direction and the most pleasing aspect was the fact typically they haven't been starting games very quickly. At Tynecastle they were on fire from the first minute and blew Hearts away."
