Micah Richards trolls Roy Keane on Instagram after Man City thrash Manchester United in derby

Former right-back Micah Richards poked fun at Manchester United icon Roy Keane after City hammered their rivals 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Braces from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez either side of the half-time interval sealed an emphatic derby win for City, although Jadon Sancho brought United level with an excellent solo goal with 22 minutes on the clock. But after De Bruyne restored City's lead just before the half-hour mark, the home side did not look back.

Dominating the second-half, City added a further two goals to their tally, both via Mahrez. The Algerian, for his first, netted an excellent volley before a VAR check saw his second of the contest given after he was initially flagged offside.

United were second best in the second period and offered nothing in an attacking sense, with City dominating possession. It was the second time this season that the Blues had schooled United, with their Old Trafford triumph back in November being secured with ease.

Providing punditry for the game for Sky Sports, former City man Richards and United icon Keane will have been feeling very different emotions in the studio as the game went on, with City putting United to the sword. During the second half, Richards, as he has done in the past, took to social media to mock his colleague and share his pain.

Taking to Instagram, Richards uploaded a video from inside the studio, laughing and mocking Keane. Laughing away, Richards said: "Have we got a lot of United fans in here? It is awfully quiet in here."

He then started singing "It has all gone quiet over there, and it has all gone quiet over there!" Whilst signing, he turned the camera on Keane and focused on his rather disappointed-looking figure.

In typical fashion, Richards was laughing throughout the video, with his on-screen relationship with Keane hugely popular and recognisable. Defeat for United, meanwhile, has left them fifth in the table, one point behind Arsenal in fourth.
