Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards has backed Arsenal to overcome Tottenham Hotspur in next week's vital north London derby.
The Gunners currently find themselves fourth in the Premier League standings, two points clear of Antonio Conte 's men, who they will face at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next Thursday. The corresponding fixture at the Emirates Stadium ended up 3-1 to the home side - although it was Nuno Espirito Santo in Spurs' managerial dugout and not the serial winner that is Conte.
Now, former England international Richards has claimed that he thinks Mikel Arteta and Co will come out on top, tipping Arsenal to overcome the Lillywhites. "Arsenal. I’m saying Arsenal," he told The Monday Night Club when asked who he was backing.

"I think Arsenal, yes. I just think with their form and winning the last three, I’m going Arsenal,”
Following a run of three successive defeats to Crystal Palace, Brighton and Southampton, the Gunners were able to steady the ship and record victories against Chelsea, Manchester United and most recently West Ham but centre-back Rob Holding has still urged his teammates to not take anything for granted.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Holding said: "It’s going to be touch and go at times. If we can control what we do and keep picking up the points, that’s all we can worry about." Next for the Gunners is Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium whilst Spurs travel to Anfield to take on Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
