Micah Richards was full of praise for Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson in the 2-2 draw against Everton.

Johnson came to the rescue as Forest secured a vital point after falling behind twice at the City Ground. Everton scored through Demarai Gray and Abdoulaye Doucoure while Johnson responded with a brace.

"He normally plays a little bit deeper but he was further forward in this game and it just adds a little bit of quality. In a game where it was frantic, he's a player who wants to work hard for his team, wants to get crosses into the box.

"When he was in the Championship, I thought he would have a little bit more goals just because of his quality, but some of the balls that were into him today, he managed to keep it safe. He has five in his last seven, he has scored three braces this season - this is real quality.

"Can he face a one-on-one, a little bit of skill, a little bit of pace and into the box. I just thought it was his all-round game was very good. He's a real quality player, he is."
