Jared Verse is only in his first NFL season but he’s already one of the best trash-talkers in the league – if not simply for the sheer volume of commentary he provides throughout a game.
For the second time this season, Verse was mic’d up against the Vikings and just as he did in the first game, he talked trash to their players non-stop in the Rams’ win Monday night. He let left tackle Cam Robinson know he couldn’t be blocked without help from chips, which Robinson didn’t even really deny.
“That’s respect,” Robinson replied.
“I like you, bro. I can’t talk to you during the game,” Verse said.
When Verse got back to the sideline, he told Byron Young what he and Robinson were talking about.
“Cam going to talk to me,” Verse told Young. He’s going to be like, ‘That’s your first time getting home.’ I say, ‘Yeah, that’s your first time without a chip.’ He ain’t even deny it. He said, ‘That’s respect.’ I blushed a little.”
One part of the video that didn’t make the cut on YouTube was Verse talking to his teammates about being without a sack – one of the only guys on defense who didn’t have one, considering eight guys had at least a half-sack in the win.
“I ain’t going to lie. This is some (expletive),” he said. “Got like nine. Everybody got a sack but me, man. This some (expletive).”

It was all in good fun, but you know Verse wanted to get in on the sack party that he wasn’t invited to.
