Recently, Miami-Dade County, Florida, unveiled a new street named in honor of President-elect Donald Trump. The decision to co-designate Palm Avenue as 'President Donald J. Trump Avenue' was announced by Miami-Dade County Commissioner for District 6, Kevin Marino Cabrera.
This move comes as a tribute to President Trump's legacy of advocating for freedom and opportunity. The city of Hialeah, where the street is located, played a significant role in supporting Trump during the 2024 election. Hialeah, known for its predominantly Hispanic or Latino population, showed strong backing for Trump, contributing to his victory in Miami-Dade County.
In the 2020 election, Trump had lost Miami-Dade County to Joe Biden by a margin of 46% to 53%. However, in the recent election, Trump managed to secure 55% of the vote in the county, showcasing a notable increase in support.
A photo shared by Cabrera captures the moment when Trump signed the plaque for 'President Donald J. Trump Avenue,' symbolizing the official recognition of the street in his honor.
