Mexican grupero band Los Bukis announced a new residency in Las Vegas, starting May 3 at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The 15-date historic season will serve as the first residency completely performed in Spanish at the entertainment capital of the world.
Presented in collaboration with Live Nation and MGM Resorts International, Los Bukis: The Las Vegas Residency is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Mexican group. In a statement, the band shares that the series will be an intimate concert experience for fans. The Vegas venue holds up to 5,200 people.
The news comes after the closing of their tour, which started in 2021 following the band's 25-year-long hiatus. The tour, Una Historia Cantada, reached No. 6 of the top 40 tours of 2021 by Billboard, grossing around $50 million. It also won Top Latin Tour at the Billboard Music Awards in 2022.
"Being able to share the stage together and seeing the excitement of people in the stadiums is truly one of those things that mark your life in a beautiful way," the band, led by Mexican singer Marco Antonio Solis, said.
Tickets for the upcoming residency will go on sale Feb. 2.
