While the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves are in a battle for the top of the NL East standings, the Philadelphia Phillies are in their own race for a Wild Card berth. You just wouldn’t have guessed that by the looks of Citizens Bank Park this weekend.
Mets fans legitimately had the Phillies ballpark looking like Citi Field.
Just 94 miles separate New York and Philadelphia, so thousands of Mets fans made the trip for the weekend series, and they were treated to an epic finale on Sunday afternoon. Just check out this video of Mark Canha’s go-ahead, two-run home run in the ninth inning of the Mets’ 10-9 win. The presence of Mets fans in Philly couldn’t have been more evident.
Look at those Mets fans in Philly.

It was like this all weekend too. NBCS Philadelphia color analyst John Kruk even voiced his frustration with how loud Mets fans were at Citizens Bank Park.
Mets fans taking over CBP. 😑
"The only way that can change is the players have to change it."

This was a franchise that once held the National League record for consecutive sellouts at 257 games. But as you can see, a lot has changed since 2012.
Baseball fans also had thoughts on the Mets’ presence in Philadelphia.
This was how Twitter reacted
This is great video. #Mets fans rocking the enemy territory in this totally improbable comeback (!) after a rain delay. #LGM https://t.co/167ZprzYyH
