Metropolitan Police officer charged with rape and sexual assaults

A Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with rape and two sexual assaults.

PC Nick Whitcombe, attached to the South West Command Unit, is due to appear in court on Tuesday after being charged with three sex offences.

The incidents allegedly took place on Tuesday, 9 April 2024 while he was off-duty.

PC Whitcombe was arrested on the same day and immediately suspended.

The alleged victims, two women, have been supported throughout.

He was charged on Thursday with one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault.

He is due to appear before Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on March 18.

The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is aware, a police spokesperson said.

The South West Command Unit covers the London boroughs of Richmond, Kingston, Merton, and Wandsworth.
