Police have launched an urgent hunt for a gunman after two men were shot in Canning Town, east London.
Officers rushed to Rogers Road at around 2.05am on Saturday following reports of a shooting. Two men were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds.
One of the men remains in a life-threatening condition after being shot in the back, the Met said, while the other did not suffer critical injuries.
A crime scene remains in place.
No arrests have been made as enquiries into the circumstances continue.
