The Met Office has issued a weather warning as thunderstorms and even hail are set to batter Merseyside.
Scorching conditions have hit the UK this week as Liverpool has basked in glorious sunshine today. However, forecasters predict it will take a downturn this weekend as they have issued a yellow alert on Saturday.
The yellow warning is in force across many areas in the region from 2pm - 9pm on June 10. The Met Office said: "Whilst many places will be largely dry, thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail are likely to develop in some places on Saturday afternoon."

The forecasters urged people to be vigilant as it added: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
"Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and possibly even cancellations to rail services.
"There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be temporarily lost."
High temperatures are still forecast as the Met Office predict temperatures of up to 26C on Saturday.
