The Met Office has given its forecast for this week and next across Liverpool amid reports of an "African Air-dryer" heatwave.
The Mirror reports parts of the UK could bake in temperatures of up to 30C in just over a week. But the Met Office forecast for Liverpool doesn't suggest we can expect things to get this warm on Merseyside.
That said, there is some pleasant weather predicted, with highs of 20C on Friday, as well as "plenty of sunshine" over the upcoming bank holiday weekend.

Looking further ahead, Met Office forecasters say there will be "plenty more dry weather" as we move into June, with temperatures remaining above average overall.
While the Met Office doesn't give specific temperatures for the first week of June just yet, meteorologists at Accuweather predict highs of 22C on Thursday, June 1, 20C on Friday, June 2, and highs of 23C on Saturday, June 3.
For Merseyside to experience what is officially classed as a heatwave, temperatures must meet or exceed 25C for a period of at least three days.
