People across Wales woke up to snow this morning. Schools have been closed as a result of the snow fall and warnings have been issued over treacherous driving conditions.
A Met Office yellow warning for snow and ice is in place across south Wales and many parts of southern England from midnight on Wednesday until 9am on Thursday. A second weather warning for snow is in place for north Wales from midnight on Wednesday to 9am on Thursday. A yellow weather warning has also been issued for north Wales from 3am on Thursday until 6pm on Friday.
Wednesday's weather warning for south Wales says: "Spells of snow on Wednesday may cause travel disruption during Wednesday into Thursday morning. Warning has also been extended into Thursday, primarily to include residual ice impacts that may persist into the morning travel period."
These maps show snow in white or grey, rain in blue or dark blue and hail in orange.
