With many outdoor events and street parties planned for the Jubilee weekend the Met Office have revealed the weather Brits can expect.
People across the country will be making the most of the long weekend with dozens of outdoor events planned to mark the monarch’s 70 years on the throne.
The four-day weekend was originally set to be mild with some wind - with the Met Office stating it was too early to know whether it was going to rain.
However, from tomorrow the weather is expected to be warm and sunny with temperatures expected to reach 21°C with Sunday set to bring cooler weather.
Monday is set to bring some overcast weather with temperatures expected to be around 15°C with showers for much of the UK.
And as the Jubilee weekend approaches, the Met Office have revealed the weather for the bank holiday is still ‘somewhat uncertain’ but they expect a ‘mixed picture, with a combination of dry and wet spells’.
According to weather forecasters there will be a shift in the jet stream in the coming days which will lead to much more settled weather.
Although there is still uncertainty over what the stream will do towards the end of the week.
Dan Rudman, Met Office deputy chief meteorologist said: "There will be plenty of sunshine around this weekend with temperatures expected to reach 21C in some southern spots on Saturday.
"However, from Sunday it’ll be cooler for most and as we move into next week there’s a more mixed picture once again.
"Spells of rain affecting many places before more settled conditions are expected through the middle of the week, though still with the chance of some showers even then.
"Although the Jubilee Weekend is still a week away, what we’re keeping an eye on is how a plume of warm air behaves later in the week.
"Which, despite returning temperatures to around average for the time of year, could also bring some showers as it moves in from the south and travels north on Thursday and Friday."
Brits will be hoping for a repeat of the Queen's Diamond jubilee in 2012 which saw much of the country in sunshine.
Temperatures peaked at 28°C in the week leading up to the celebrations.
With large parts of the UK enjoying sunny weather on the Saturday of the Jubilee - with Sunday seeing rather different temperatures as up to an inch of rain fell across the country.
