Rainy weather is set to fall across the South West today (May 1) as the sunshine which ushered in the Bank Holiday weekend disappears, according to the Met Office. The forecaster is predicting "murky" and "damp" conditions for Sunday, with downpours and drizzle set to make it a gloomy affair.
Temperatures are expected to drop to 11C - as much as 6C lower than some parts of the region saw yesterday, when many enjoyed sunny blue skies. The Met Office's full prediction for today says: "A cloudy and damp day to come, with further spells of rain and drizzle.
"Remaining murky along the coasts and over the hills. Feeling cooler than Saturday. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

The BBC is also predicting a wet, rainy day today - although they say that afternoon could be slightly drier. Their Sunday forecast reads: "(Today) will be a dull and wet day, with little in the way of any sunshine.
"There will be spells of patchy rain at times during the day. The rain will generally turn lighter in the afternoon."
The poor weather could continue into Bank Holiday Monday, with the Met Office's prediction for Monday to Wednesday saying: "A rather cloudy period of weather, with the risk of a few showers developing."
