North East residents may well want to brace themselves for the chilly weekend ahead, which looks to be congested with clouds and even the odd bit of sleet come Sunday.
Saturday's temperatures are expected to bounce between 4C and 0C, with the sun coming out in occasional intervals, amid the cloudy skies fogging above the Tyne.
Sunday sees sleet falling early in the morning according to the Met Office, with the same cloudy skies from the day prior drifting in from the onset and throughout.

The Met Office said: "Some freezing fog patches Saturday morning may be slow to clear in places. Cloud gradually thickening through the afternoon as a breeze strengthens.
