More dry and sunny days are in store for Merseyside this weekend, though the weather is predicted to become more unsettled next week.
The Met Office says there is a risk of gales in the north west from Wednesday (March 9), with temperatures below average.
We can also expect "potential snowfall" in some parts of the UK.

Looking further ahead, from March 19, we can expect more uncertain weather, with heavy rain and at times windy weather across the country.
Here is the Met Office forecast for Liverpool for this weekend, and into next week:
Friday
The rest of the day is set to stay dry with some bright spells.
Highs of 8C at 4pm, with lows of 6C this evening.
It should remain cloudy overnight, with a few showery outbreaks in some places.
Saturday
Saturday will be cloudy to start but dry, with bright or sunny spells developing widely across the region for the afternoon.
Highs of 9C are expected at lunchtime and into the afternoon.
Lows of 4C in the early morning, and again at 11pm.
Sunday
Similar to Saturday, though slightly cooler, with highs of 7C.
Lows of 2C.
Monday and Tuesday
Generally dry, with a lot of cloud initially turning brighter with sunny spells.
It will feel cold overnight with frosts increasingly likely, and will be breezy at times.
Further ahead
The Met Office's long range UK forecast for March 9-18 predicts sunny spells with some cloud and "generally stronger winds".
There'll be an ongoing risk of gales in the north west.
Temperatures are likely to be below average for the time of year, and we are likely to experience "strengthening winds and potential snowfall".
