Freezing fog is forecast for parts of Wales this weekend. According to the Met Office, the fog could potentially lead to some travel delays on Friday night and Saturday morning, with the warning in place from 2am to 11am on Saturday, January 21.
The weather warning has been issued for Monmouthsire, Powys and Wrexham, including across the border in places in England, such as in Bath, Bristol and Herefordshire. It warns that the freezing fog is expected to develop during Friday night and will be slow to clear in places through Saturday morning.
Some fog could be quite dense with the visibility falling below 100 metres at times. On top of this, the freezing fog could potentially lead to some untreated surfaces becoming slippery, according to the Met Office. Western England is more likely to see the freezing fog persist into late morning and in a few places into the afternoon.

It comes after Wales has been issued a string of yellow weather warnings this week. On Tuesday, the Met Office issued a warning for snow and ice when dropped to -7.7°C in parts of Wales. The warning was then extended to Thursday, with a mixture of snow showers and sunny spells affecting the majority of Wales and resulted in school and road closures across the country.
For Thursday evening and Friday morning this week, the Met Office once again issues a yellow weather warning but for ice and warned that severe icy conditions could cause some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, and develop some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
For this weekend, the forecaster has warned that people could experience slower journey times with delays to bus and train services possible, as well as a chance of delays or cancellations for flights.
