The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain and strong winds for a large part of the north west.
The warning is in place from 10am until 7pm tomorrow (Thursday). It covers a large part of Cheshire and Merseyside, as well Wales and the south west.
Forecasters predict that a 'brief spell of heavy rain and strong, gusty winds' could cause 'some transport disruption and flooding'. Flooding and spray on roads is likely, with journey times expected to be longer.
Delays for high-sided vehicles on bridges and exposed routes is also likely. 'A few homes and businesses' may be flooded.

Although the warning does not cover Greater Manchester, heavy rain is forecast in the afternoon in our region. According to the Met Office, the weather will be cloudy tomorrow morning until a downpour at around 2pm.
Showers are expected to fall until around 4pm in Greater Manchester, before clouds set in again. Temperatures will reach highs of around 10C.
Conditions on Friday are predicted to be a mix of cloudy and sunny, with the mercury again reaching a high of 10C. Into the weekend, forecasters predict some light rain on Saturday afternoon with the temperature reaching around 11C.
Sunday will be another mostly cloudy day. There may be some sunny intervals around lunchtime with highs of around 11C.
