Met Office issues yellow weather warning for fog covering parts of Wales

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for fog covering south east Wales with visibility expected to be severely reduced in parts. The warning, which is has been put in place from 4am to 11am on Thursday, December 1, warns visibility could be less than 50 meters in some areas.

The warning comes after temperatures finally dipped across the country as we enter December, dipping to - 3°C overnight in some areas. The warning was issued just after 1am to come into force a few hours later and the forecaster said that the fog is expected to thin towards late morning.

The warning reads: "Not everywhere will experience fog, but where fog patches do develop, they are likely to become dense in some places with visibility less than 100 metres, and perhaps less than 50 metres in a few spots. The fog will slowly thin towards late morning but may persist into the afternoon in some areas."
