Areas of Strathclyde have been hit with a yellow weather warning for ice tonight by the Met Office.
The forecast warns that snow and hail showers could lead to icy surfaces, with possible travel disruption - with the yellow ice warning coming into action from 8pm this evening (Wednesday 30 March).

The warning lasts until 10am tomorrow morning, with Glasgow set for freezing temperatures over the next couple of days.
Although the city itself isn't covered by the weather warning, according to BBC Weather Glasgow is set for lows of -3C today and lows of -2C tomorrow (Thursday 31 March).
The Met Office's official forecast for Strathclyde today reads: "Any rain and cloud will quickly clear south leaving a bright day with sunny spells. A scattering of wintry showers in the afternoon but a lot of shelter for Ayrshire. Chilly northeast winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C."
Here's what the Met Office warns the areas covered by the yellow weather alert to expect:
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, leading to an increased chance of accidents or injuries
- Some higher elevation roads may be also affected by snowfall, resulting in longer journey times
