Liverpool will be battered by torrential rain today as flood alerts remain in place across the country.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain across Merseyside this Monday after a weekend of wet weather. People commuting to work this morning could be hit by some disruption, including spray and flooding on roads and delays to bus and train services.
The Met Office warned some interruption to power supplies is also possible, as well as flooding of a few homes and businesses. Fourteen flood alerts were issued by the Environment Agency including for the Mersey Estuary at Warrington.

A yellow weather warning for rain will remain in place until 11am on Monday. The Met Office forecast for the North West said: "A wet start to the day, especially in the south of the region where rain will be heavy this morning.
"The rain may ease for a time, but further heavy bursts developing this afternoon. Turning brighter in the north later. Maximum temperature 20 °C. Rain across southern parts will clear this evening leaving a dry night.
"Largely clear skies in the north will spread to all parts, under which it will turn fairly chilly. Minimum temperature 7 °C."
The forecast for the rest of the week shows largely dry conditions, with an average temperature of 16 degrees.
