A yellow weather warning is in place for Nottinghamshire as heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected. The weather warning was issued by the Met Office shortly after 11am on Wednesday, May 10, and will be in place from 1pm until 8pm.
Due to the heavy rain and storms, the organisation warns driving conditions may be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus. Delays are also possible for public transport services.
It is expected to rain across the afternoon in Nottingham, but temperatures will reach highs of 16C and lows of 10C. Cloudy weather is forecast for the rest of the week.
