Met Office issue West Lothian yellow weather warning for rain as downpours continue

The Met Office has issued yellow weather warning for rain, with heavy downpours expected.

Forecasters expect persistent rain throughout Tuesday, January 9, with 15-25mm of rainfall and up to 35mm on high grounds. The wet weather will be accompanied by increasingly gusty winds, with flooding likely throughout. Travel will become difficult, with spray flooding on roads and disruption to bus and rail services as downpours continue.

West Lothian will be impacted by the warning, with also experiencing heavy showers throughout the morning, afternoon and into the early evening. Temperatures remain mild, with highs of 11C across the city and lows of 6C.

What to expect
