The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for much of the west of England, including parts of Merseyside.
Forecasters say there'll be heavy rain that is likely to lead to floods across Southport and Formby between 9pm on Friday and 12pm on Saturday. According to the Met Office people in these parts of the region can expect "heavy rain bringing the chance of some flooding and disruption."
Some homes and businesses are likely to flood, it said, while public transport will probably see delays. The Met Office also said spray and flooding on roads will "probably make journey times longer", and that "some interruption to power supplies" is also likely.

Friday's forecast for Liverpool predicts highs of 8C, with lows of 7C. The Met Office said it should be "mostly cloudy with brief sunny intervals and occasional showers."
In Southport and Formby, however, there is a 90%+ chance of precipitation from 9pm on Friday until 7am on Saturday. People who live or work in these areas are advised to plan any journeys well in advance.
A flood alert remains in place for the River Alt and other watercourses from Huyton to Hightown including, Kirkby, Fazakerley, Maghull, Formby, Aughton, Sefton and Lunt.
