Merseyside is set to be battered by high winds and heavy rain as the Met Office issues an urgent yellow weather warning.
The warning for heavy rain is expected to cause disruption between 8pm on Monday, October 31, and 8am on Wednesday, November 2. A further yellow warning will see parts of Merseyside, Wales and Ireland be hit by very strong winds between 7am and 6pm on Wednesday, November 2.
According to the weather body, flooding of a few homes and businesses is "likely" and there may be some interruption to power supplies. Other expectations include bus and train services taking longer and spray and flooding on roads.

A spokesperson from the Met Office said: "An area of rain will move northwards overnight, turning heavy for a time before clearing away northeast on Tuesday morning. While many places are unlikely to see impacts, it is possible that the rain band could become slow moving for a time giving localised accumulations of 20-30 mm in two to three hours and perhaps 40-50 mm in three to four hours, which could lead to some surface water impacts and delays to transport.
"A spell of very strong southerly or southwesterly winds will affect some western coastal areas during Wednesday. Gusts of 55-65 mph are expected, especially in exposed coastal locations, with some sudden strong gusts of wind possible at times.
"Some further heavy rain is also likely during Wednesday, especially across parts of Scotland, Cumbria and Wales."
Yellow warnings can be issued for a range of weather situations. The Met Office website says that "many people" may be able to continue with their daily routine, but there will be some that will be directly impacted and so it is important to assess if you could be affected.
