Temperatures are set to soar across the country next week as a "hot spell" of weather hits the UK.
After the hottest day ever recorded in Liverpool last month, many people will be wondering whether another heatwave is on its way. According to the latest forecast from the Met Office, temperatures are set to remain above average across much of the country during the next fortnight, "with further spells of very warm weather possible."
Sun is forecast for much of next week, with Liverpool seeing highs of 25 degrees on Tuesday.

Tom Morgan, who works as a meteorologist for the Met Office, told the Express : “It will still be warm for next week and it is looking like it will start quite dry as we go through the week - but temperatures will slowly rise day-on-day.
“It is certainly possible for mid-week - possibly becoming warmer to around 30C to 32C by the end of the week."
Mr Morgan said it's too early to say whether there will be another heatwave but it appears parts of the country will see a "hot spell developing."
He added: “It's a bit early at this stage but it does look like some parts of the UK will see a hot spell developing.
“It doesn’t look like it will be record-breaking but it could well become a hot one - it certainly does look like it is warming up, but I wouldn’t like to say at the moment.
“More than a week away our confidence level is much lower - and here we are still looking in some instances at something that is nine or 10 days away.”
Sunny spells are forecast for Liverpool this weekend, with the weather gradually turning warmer.
The Met Office long range forecast for the UK from Monday, August 8 - Wednesday, August 17 said: "Most places are likely to see a fair amount of settled weather at the start of this period, with a mix of cloud and sunny spells across the country.
"Rather cloudy in the north on Monday, perhaps with some rain in the far north, but some bright or sunny spells to the lee of high ground and fine and dry elsewhere. Temperatures generally close to or slightly above average, and perhaps very warm or even hot in central and southern parts.
"Further into the period there is still the chance of some periods of organised rain in the north, but generally the dry weather is likely to persist across the country. Temperatures remaining above average widely, with further spells of very warm weather possible."
