Temperatures are remaining cold this weekend and a serious warning has now been issued for ice.
The Met Office have put out an amber warning for ice that covers Leeds tomorrow on Sunday, December 18. The warning is in place from 9am until 8pm.
It's forecast that freezing rain and snow will cause disruption tomorrow. The amber warning covers Leeds as well as much of the rest of West and South Yorkshire - it comes after heavy snow in North Yorkshire throughout the week has left some people stranded on roads waiting for gritting.

Leeds is also under a yellow warning for snow tomorrow. With the city having avoided the snow so far, it will be the first time snow will fall in Leeds this winter.
Regarding the amber warning, the Met Office warns to expect:
- Injuries from slips and falls and danger to life on icy surfaces are possible
- Dangerous driving conditions may occur, leading to road traffic collisions, road closures and longer journey times; while pavements and cycle paths may become impassable
Bus, train and air travel may be affected by delays and cancellations
There is a good chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
After Sunday, temperatures are set to soar to a whopping 13 degrees on Monday. Leeds will be seeing a much milder outlook in the run up to Christmas although snow could return on Christmas Eve.
