It's going to be a rough morning as heavy rain and powerful gales are set to hammer Ireland.
A weather warning is in place for Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo. The Status Yellow wind and rain alert warns: "Becoming wet and windy tonight and during Friday morning with strong and gusty southerly winds developing.
"Heavy rainfall may cause some localised flooding." It will be in place until 2pm today.
A yellow gale warning is also in place until 4pm today for all the coasts in Ireland. "Southwest winds will increase to reach gale or strong gale force times on all coasts of Ireland and on the Irish Sea," the warning reads.
Today will be wet and windy with rain turning heavy leading to a risk of spot flooding and dangerous road conditions. But rain will clear eastwards by lunchtime to sunny spells and showers.
It will be 15 to 16 degrees in "strong and gusty southwesterly winds, veering westerly and easing with the clearing rain," a Met Eireann forecaster said.
Tonight will see widespread showers with some turning heavy and thundery, especially in the Atlantic coastal counties. The lowest temperatures will be 9 or 10 degrees.
Tomorrow will be a mixed bag with sunshine and showers expected with the highest temperatures of 15 or 16 degrees. Here is the rest of the forecast:
Saturday night
The forecaster continued: "Saturday night will be mostly dry with isolated showers in the north, it may turn cloudier on southern coasts with rain and drizzle there for a time. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in moderate westerly breezes.
Sunday
"Mainly dry on Sunday with sunny spells and isolated showers on northern coasts. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in a light westerly breeze.
