A Status Yellow marine gale warning has been issued by Met Eireann for some coastal areas along the east of the country.
The warning was issued on Saturday at around half past six and will come into effect on Sunday at 1pm, it will remain in place until 5pm that evening.
Issuing the warning, which is in place from Slyne Head to Erris Head to Rossan Point, national forecaster Met Eireann said: “Southerly winds will reach gale force 8.”

The area the weather warning covers spans the coasts of Galway, Mayo and Sligo as well as small parts of the coast of Leitrim and Donegal.
Meanwhile, Met Eireann has forecasted a largely dry Easter Sunday in the morning, with the forecaster confirming that the east will see some sunny spells. Elsewhere it will be a mostly cloudy day - with rain in the west during the morning gradually spreading eastwards in the afternoon.
While there will be a few drier intervals for a time in the west through the middle of the day a further band of heavier rain will push in later in the afternoon.
Moving into Sunday night the band of rain will clear east early in the night, however, scattered heavy or thundery showers will follow from the west with a slight chance of some hail locally.
On Bank Holiday Monday there will be widespread showers with some sunny spells mixed between.
Some of the showers will be heavy with hail and isolated thunderstorms possible. The showers will ease off towards evening as drier spells develop.
Showers will become confined to Atlantic coastal counties on Monday night, with dry clear spells developing in the east and north. Cloud will thicken in the southwest, however, with rain developing there towards morning.
