Good morning, folks! Unlike the last few mornings, today will start with rain and blustery winds clearing away to sunny spells.
Met Eireann has issued a rather unusual forecast for the next seven days. A mobile westerly air flow will take over as frontal systems will move in from the Atlantic.
Met Eireann's long-range forecast said Ireland will be hit by alternating incursions of fresh polar maritime air and mild tropical maritime air. The national forecaster added: "Overall, mean air temperatures are forecast to be close to average for October.

Tonight will be dry and clear and it'll be cold in parts overnight with the lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in a light to moderate westerly breeze.
Tomorrow will be a dry day with sunny spells and some isolated light rain. It will turn cloudier in the evening. Daytime temperatures will be around 12 to 15 degrees.
