Ireland is set to see a mixed bag of conditions for the month of September with some sunny spells and a few scattered showers.
Met Eireann has indicated that the country will see the return of rain this week. However, temperatures will remain in the low twenties.
The forecaster has predicted showers to feed into eastern areas over the coming weeks before things take an unusual turn later in the month.

High pressure looks set to build once again from Monday, September 19, bringing sunny conditions and below average rainfall.
Temperatures will also increase slightly, rising to above average in all areas.

Monday, August 29 to Sunday, September 4
High pressure will be the dominant feature of weather this week.
It will be largely settled with often light winds and below average rainfall for most of the country.
However, a predominantly easterly airflow through the week will feed showers into eastern areas, so rainfall will be slightly higher than normal on the eastern fringes.
Temperatures will be just above average. No hazardous weather is expected, but there is potential for some heavier showers at times.
Monday, September 5 to Sunday, September 11
Low pressure will come to be the main driver of weather for this week, which will bring generally more unsettled conditions across the country.
Temperatures will remain just above average, but it will be wetter across the country, with above normal rainfall in all areas.
Monday, September 12 to Sunday, September 18
Current indications suggest that low pressure will remain nearby for this period, with spells of rain or showers likely.
However, it will turn drier than normal over the northern half of the country, with near normal rainfall further south.
Temperatures will be around normal or slightly above.
Monday, September 19 to Sunday, September 25
There are signs that high pressure will build across the country once again for this week.
This will bring a return of settled conditions, with below average rainfall indicated across the country.
Temperatures will also increase slightly, rising to above average in all areas.
