Met Eireann has issued two new weather warnings as Storm Eunice sweeps across the country.
While the storm is expected to ease off tomorrow, a fresh yellow rain warning has been issued for Mayo, Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo.
This will be in force from 4pm on Saturday until the same time on Sunday.
The national forecaster has also issued a yellow weather alert for strong winds on Sunday. The warning is in place for Clare, Cork, Donegal, Galway, Kerry, Leitrim, Limerick, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo for 24 hours starting at 9am on Sunday.
A forecaster said: "Very strong westerly winds are expected on Sunday and Monday. Coastal flooding is possible in places."
Meanwhile, a man has been killed by a falling tree as Storm Eunice wreaks havoc across Ireland.
The victim, in his 60s, was struck in the Ballythomas area of Co Wexford on Friday morning as the storm swept across the country.
Thousands have been left without power, flights have been cancelled and schools shut.
Eunice hit Cork, Kerry, Clare and Waterford first, where a Status Red wind warning was in force.
The entire country remains under the snow and ice warning until 10am Saturday, as Met Eireann expects “falls of sleet and snow on Friday and Saturday with accumulations in some areas and icy stretches leading to hazardous driving conditions.”
