A Status Orange snow warning has been issued for Dublin and other parts of the country as the Arctic blast quickly worsens.
Two Orange warnings have been issued by Met Eireann. The first warning affects Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Clare, Connacht, Longford, Louth, Meath and Westmeath.
It is in place from 11am today until 10am Friday and warns of "significant accumulations of snow" expected in some areas.

The second Orange warning affects Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Wicklow and Tipperary. It is in place from 9pm tonight until 10am tomorrow.
It also warns of "significant accumulations of snow" and says that "lying snow and sub-zero temperatures overnight leading to icy stretches."
Met Eireann has warned that there may be hazardous road conditions, travel disruption and poor visibility as a result of weather conditions today and tonight.
