Met Eireann has issued a number of weather warnings as the first named storm of the season is barrelling towards Ireland.
The national forecaster has warned of a wet and windy week with a risk of thunderstorms, spot flooding, snow, and sleet over the coming days. Additionally, independent forecaster Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather said: "Latest high res charts show a very wet Tuesday and some models still have a risk of strong gusts but most show strongest winds tomorrow night and into Wednesday.
"Risk of over 20mm rainfall in parts of the South and higher ground. Showers also possibly turning wintry at night."

A Status Yellow wind warning is currently in place for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway, and Mayo from 1am until 5pm on Wednesday. The warning reads: "Very strong west to northwest winds developing. Widespread gusts of between 90 and 110 km/h expected, stronger in coastal areas and over higher ground. Wave overtopping in coastal areas."
Additionally, the UK Met Office has issued a yellow wind warning for Antrim and Down from 3pm on Tuesday until 3am on Wednesday. An orange marine warning will be valid from Roche's Point to Loop Head to Rossan Point where west to northwest winds will reach storm force 10 at times on Irish coastal waters.
The alert is in place from 6am until 4pm on Wednesday. Additionally, a yellow gale warning will be valid from Howth Head to Dungarvan to Slyne Head and on the Irish Sea South of Anglesey from 7pm on Tuesday until 1pm on Wednesday.
Another yellow gale warning has been issued from Belfast Lough to Strangford Lough to Howth Head and on the Irish Sea North of Anglesey from 7pm on Tuesday until 5am on Wednesday. And a third yellow gale warning will be in place from Erris Head to Bloody Foreland to Fair Head from 1pm until 9pm on Wednesday.
