Met Eireann have upgraded one of their weather warnings to a Status Orange alert as wind is set to batter Ireland in "dangerous conditions" on Friday.
Storm Eunice is set to cause havoc across the country, with seven counties now under an orange alert, with the remainder facing a status yellow warning.
The new orange warning was issued on Wednesday afternoon and affects seven counties.
They are: Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford, Galway and Wexford.
It reads: "Storm Eunice will bring severe and potentially damaging winds, gusting up to 130km/h, higher in exposed areas. Some disruption is expected along with a possibility of coastal flooding."
The warning is valid from 05:00 Friday 18/02/2022 to 11:00 Friday 18/02/2022.
Meanwhile, the status yellow warning still applies for the rest of the island.
it reads: "Storm Eunice will track over Ireland on Thursday night and on Friday bringing very strong winds and falls of heavy rain, sleet and snow.
"Some disruption is likely along with a possibility of coastal and spot flooding."
It stays in place until 3pm on Friday.
