Met Eireann forecasts wet and blustery weather for Dublin before temperatures jump

Met Eireann has issued a mixed bag forecast with a welcome change on the way.

The national forcaster has warned of blustery rain midweek but the rest of the week will enjoy a "settled mix" of cloud and sunny spells. A forecaster said: "Apart from some wet and blustery conditions on Wednesday night and Thursday it will be quite settled with a mix of cloud and sunny spells and any outbreaks of rain and drizzle generally occurring in the west and northwest.

"Temperatures will be above average through Thursday, turning fresher towards the weekend." Today will start off cloudy but there will be some sunny spells at times.
