Good morning, folks!
It's time to bundle up as today's Met Eireann forecast has signalled the arrival of cold weather. Temperatures are set to nosedive in the coming days with unsettled conditions dominating.
Today will be cool with sunny spells and moderate showers. It will become blustery at times in the vicinity of showers, so it will be "quite chilly" for the time of the year, a Met Eireann forecaster warned.
Daytime temperatures will be around 12 to 14 degrees. The showers will become more isolated and die out by the evening.

Tonight will be dry with long clear spells but there will be some possibility of mist and fog. It will be a chilly night with temperatures plummeting to as low as 4 degrees.
Tomorrow will be dry and fairly sunny but cloud will develop in the afternoon. Temperatures will range around 15 or 16 degrees.
While there is no further forecast for Dublin, here is what the national outlook says:
Thursday night
"After a dry settled start to the night persistent and occasionally heavy rain will extend from the northwest as southerly winds freshen. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees.
Friday
"It will be a wet and windy start to the day with persistent and occasionally heavy rain across the country while south to southwest winds will continue fresh to strong and gusty at times, with gales on Atlantic coast.
"Clearer conditions with scattered showers will follow from the northwest during the afternoon as west to northwest winds ease slightly. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees.
Friday night
"Scattered showers will continue overnight, most frequent along Atlantic coasts, with the best of the dry periods and clear spells in the east. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees in mostly moderate southwest to west winds."
