Hull City's new Turkish owner Acun Ilicali has ruled out a potential summer move for former Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil.
The 33-year-old, who currently is out of favour with SuperLig club Fenerbahce, as recently reported by football.london, has started just 14 times domestically for the side this season, with questions now being asked about his imminent future once more.
With his exit from the Emirates bittersweet to say the least, his lowest moments came when a shock exclusion meant he had been omitted from Arsenal's 25-man Premier League for the 20/21 campaign.
Thus releasing a statement soon after admitting he was 'deeply disappointed', the midfielder did enjoy a fairly decorated spell here in North London, scoring 44 goals and registering 77 assists in 254 games for the Gunners.

Ilicali, who has spoken exclusively to HullLive on the rumours linking him with a move to the Championship outfit, began by stating: "No, they [Ryan Babel who had also been linked] are not coming. Mesut is happy in Turkey. He’s a very good friend of mine and if he’s happy in Turkey, why should I ask him to come to England again?"
Ozil has also been linked with a move to MLS side Inter Miami too, with former Manchester United midfielder Phil Neville in charge there.
With the midfielder under contract until June 2024, the 33-year-old may perhaps look to see out his contract given the £4.5million deal he signed with Turkish club back in January 2021.
Fenerbahce currently sit 2nd in the SuperLig table, although do trail leaders Trabzonspor by a mammoth 13 points with just six games to go.
