Messi brought out all the stars from various avenues of Los Angeles when Inter Miami came to town on Sunday night, and his performance didn’t disappoint. Messi tallied two assists in the team’s 3-1 road victory over the defending MLS Champions, LAFC.
Messi’s play and the end result was the talk of the match for many fans, along with the star-studded crowd which included Leonardo DiCaprio, Selena Gomez, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, and reportedly LeBron James, Mookie Betts and numerous others. But during the game, a scene featuring Messi’s bodyguard showcased the man who paces the sidelines watching the star get called into action when a fan invaded the pitch to run toward Miami’s star.
Here are two looks at it:
A fan came to hug Messi but Leo Messi's bodyguard is prime Xavi in terms of scanning the field always😭🔥#Messi𓃵 #InterMiamiCF pic.twitter.com/ZJEVJuKKA0

Messi’s bodyguard was having none of it.. 🤣🤣🤣pic.twitter.com/tEKNAsFKdE
Arguably the most impressive thing might be that Messi’s bodyguard was there full seconds ahead of the security from the field. But it’s worth noting that we should give LAFC defender Aaron Long (No. 33) a tip of the cap also, for being willing to step in front of Messi and slow the fan down, while also putting his own safety potentially at risk.
