Keeping hold of certain players may prove difficult for Leeds United following relegation. In the case of some names, supporters may not want them to stay anyway.
With so much still up in the air, it remains to be seen what shape the Whites’ squad will take come kick-off in August. After all, we don’t even know who will be sitting in the dugout, or even the boardroom.
But that hasn’t stopped fans speculating. The transfer window is now open, and with it comes the talk of who will be heading to Elland Road this summer – and who will be leaving.

Illan Meslier and Tyler Adams are among the names linked with a move away before the season begins. Meslier had been an ever-present between the sticks since signing from Lorient three years ago, but a loss of form saw him lose his place towards the end of last season. Chelsea have been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old.
As for Adams, the midfielder could have his pick of new clubs after emerging from last season with his head held high. Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest have all been mooted, with some reports suggesting he could command a fee as high as £40 million.
Elsewhere, there are interesting questions to be asked over the futures of players like Dan James who, since his big money move from the Red Devils two years ago, has yet to make an impact at Elland Road and didn’t set the world alight on loan at Fulham last season.
