For a while now, fans have suspected that Hollywood darlings Meryl Streep and Martin Short are a couple. Despite the Only Murders In The Building costars squashing whispers publicly back in January, the duo have gone viral again after they were spotted holding hands at the premiere party for the comedy-drama.
Just have a look at this mindful, cutesy, demure video of the two ~potential~ love birds.

Inside the party, sources claim that the colleagues were extremely close.
“They walked in holding hands, and were in great spirits, laughing. It was very sweet and cute,” an insider told Page Six.
“It’s gotta be more than a ‘showmance.’ There is definitely something there.”
However, the source noted that they did leave the party separately.
The rumours really began to run rampant after gossip guru Deuxmoi shared the tidbit in her December newsletter. She double-downed on the tea in January in her Instagram Story after she received even more hearsay intel.
The reason people are soOooOoOo invested in the couple is because of their tumultuous yet chemistry-filled relationship on screen. After watching their characters fall in love, wouldn’t it be sweet if their love was IRL too?
If you’ll allow me to indulge in some 2010’s Tumblr speak, I really ship these two sweet peas. But sadly, I can’t always get what I want because Streep’s rep told Page Six that “they are just friends”.
Short told PEOPLE back in January that they are “very good friends, nothing more”. But on Monday, he gushed about his friendship with Streep in an interview with Extra.
“I think it’s been a friendship that always grows if you work with someone and love that person,” he said.
