A Merseyside Police constable could be sacked after making "sex noises" and "playing with their genitalia" in front of colleagues.
The officer, named only as PC 3362 Baines, is accused of breaching standards of professional behaviour between August 23 and September 15, 2020, by behaving inappropriately. The officer is alleged to have "suggested they would have sex" with a colleague and making other inappropriate remarks.
PC Baines is due to face a misconduct hearing next week which could result in a finding of gross misconduct and immediate dismissal. If an independent disciplinary panel makes such a finding, PC Baines would be placed on the College of Policing's barred list, meaning he would be prohibited from holding any policing job in the UK.

A notice posted by Merseyside Police said: "On the 12th August 2020 [PC Baines] made inappropriate sex noises and failed to demonstrate self-control and did not treat their colleague with courtesy.
"On August 24 and the August 28, 2020, they effectively suggested that they would have sexual intercourse with a colleague, further demonstrating a lack of self-control or courtesy towards a colleague."
The notice suggested the alleged behaviour had the potential to "bring the police service into disrepute and undermine public confidence."
The force further claimed: "On August 23, 2020, PC Baines played with their genitalia making an inappropriate comment and not displaying self-control or courtesy toward a colleague.
"On September 15, 2020, they deliberately ran behind a colleague and made an inappropriate comment displaying a lack of self-control or courtesy towards a colleague."
Chief Superintendent Jenny Wilson, head of the Merseyside Police Professional Standards Department, said: “It would be inappropriate for me to comment on any individual case while proceedings are still pending.
"However, I would like to make it clear that Merseyside Police remains committed to investigating any allegations of sexual misconduct involving anyone working for Merseyside Police. We demand the highest possible standards of behaviour from our officers and staff.
"Any allegations of sexual misconduct are thoroughly investigated by our dedicated Professional Standards Department. It is vital we take swift and robust action to investigate any allegations of behaviour that fall short of the high standards of respect, professionalism and integrity we expect.
"We have improved and simplified mechanisms to encourage officers and staff to report any concerns of wrongdoing, unethical behaviour or inappropriate activity by those who work for Merseyside Police, and to do so anonymously and in confidence through our Confidential Reporting App.
“Members of the public can also contact us either via 101, DM @MerPolCC or online and in confidence via our website www.merseyside.police.uk”
