Merseyside Police officers pulled over a car seen swerving in Liverpool only to discover the driver had been watching TV on his phone while behind the wheel.
In the early hours of this morning (Friday, October 28) police spotted the vehicle swerving on Longmoor Lane and instructed the driver to pull over. While at the roadside officers soon discovered the reason behind the man's poor driving.
Their enquiries revealed that the man had been watching TV on his mobile phone while driving. On even closer inspection officers also noticed the car had two defective tyres and a cracked windscreen.

The driver was reported and a PG9 was issued. A Roadworthiness prohibition (PG9) is given for mechanical problems or for the condition of a vehicle's bodywork and equipment. This means the vehicle can no longer be driven.
In order for the vehicle to be allowed back on the road, the driver will need to follow the guidance of the officer who issued the PG9 form, and also follow the notes on the back of the prohibition notice.
