Merseyside farm gives update on this year's sunflower maze

The Sunflower Maze in Prescot won't return this summer.

The maze, located on Water Lane in Tarbock, welcomed visitors to venture through a gorgeous sunflower path, field and wildflower meadows. Tractors and other farm items were displayed on the trip but they sadly won't be making a return this year.

The farm issued a brief statement on Instagram saying they needed to focus on "workload" before they could reopen this year for guests.

They said: "Due to farm work load there is no sunflower maze this year thanks to everyone who visited over the last 3 years" [sic].

Visitors were disappointed with the news, sharing their dismay with the farm. Taking to Instgram, one user said: "We will miss it." Another added: "Gutted but totally understand x"

The maze typically took approximately 45 minutes to complete and was created by famer, Olly Harrison. The field proved to be popular with visitors last year, with many posting snaps of the six-foot-high flowers.
