Two areas of Merseyside were ranked as the most popular coastal locations in the North West.
People living in our region are spoilt for choice with the stunning beaches and incredible beauty spots on offer to us.
Now demand for houses in these areas is soaring among house hunters looking for stunning scenery and a location within walking distance to the shore.
According to the latest data from Zoopla, the boroughs of Wirral and Sefton have both ranked among the most in demand coastal areas in the North West of England.
Sefton came in at first place, with the average house price standing at £161,300 in December 2020.
The borough boasts of over 22 miles of coast including the beautiful beaches of Southport, Ainsdale, Formby and Crosby.
This means those looking to move to the area are spoilt for choice when it comes to beauty spots and coastal walks.
Meanwhile, Wirral ranked in third place, overtaken by Blackpool which was the second most popular area.
The natural beauty of the peninsula is what attracts many people to the area, from the promenade at Hoylake to the red rocks at Thurstaston and New Brighton's breathtaking views overlooking Liverpool's skyline.
With picture postcard villages, lively towns and great transport links - there's something to suit everyone's taste.
The average house price in Wirral is £159,300 as of December 2020, making it an affordable place for those looking to get on the property ladder.
