A Merseyside borough has been named among the best in England to carry out home renovations.
The study by money.co.uk mortgages analysed each local authority in England on factors such as average property price, planning applications granted, planning applications made in time and properties in need of renovation.
Knowsley was ranked second place, with a 'renovation opportunities score' of 8.82 out of ten.

According to money.co.uk, 97% of planning applications in Knowsley are granted. The average house price in the area is £178,285.
A spokesperson for money.co.uk said: "Knowsley in Merseyside has the highest planning approval rate in the whole country, at 97%.
"The area also has a low average property price, at just £178,285, making it great value for those looking to renovate. Located just outside of Liverpool, Knowsley comprises towns such as Kirkby, Prescot, Huyton and the village that give it its name."
Knowsley was second only to North East Lincolnshire, and was ranked higher than Bolton and Allerdale, in Cumbria.
Liverpool also made an appearance on the league table in fifth place, with an average property price of £184,447 and 89% planning applications granted.
