A makeshift car park in the Merchant City is set to be turned into a mixed-use development under new plans.
The site at 65-97 Ingram Street has been earmarked for development years after a plan to build a hotel on the land was thrown out.
Artisan Real Estate has revealed its plans following an initial public consultation.
The development will feature four distinct buildings varying in height from four to six storeys with communal roof terraces that are accessible on different levels.
A total of 109 new homes are planned with a ground floor commercial space that will have a view through to a 'garden oasis' that is accessible to the public.
The 'calming' garden will feature wildflowers and planting, seating areas, specialist lighting, and public artwork that will 'align with the Merchant City Art Trail'.
Properties include a range of one, two and three-bedroom apartments each with communal landscaped roof gardens and terraces.
More than 700 people engaged in the first round of consultation.
A spokesman for Artisan Real Estate said: “We knew the location of this development which borders on key city streetscapes including Ingram Street, Albion Street and Candleriggs, demanded an impressive design statement and we believe our proposals deliver this.
“We’ve spent a long time ensuring we’ve considered every aspect of design and believe our proposals will provide a dynamic and innovative contribution to the Merchant City.

Supporting the city’s net-zero ambitions, no car parking spaces are planned however, residents will be provided with secure bike spaces and access to the city car club.
