Detectives investigating a serious assault in Liverpool city centre have issued images of men they wish to speak to.

A man, in his 30s, was found unconscious after being knocked out in Hardy's Bar, on Mathew Street, on Saturday, June 11. Emergency services attended at around 6.25pm and rushed the victim to hospital with serious injuries.

He received treatment for his injuries where he remains in a stable condition. Officers are appealing for these men, or anyone who recognises them to come forward to assist our enquiries.

Police believe the men had been visiting Liverpool, from the Crewe area, and may be able to help with the investigation. Detective Inspector Katie Coote said: "This was a nasty attack which left a man seriously injured and we are working hard to find the person responsible.

"The bars and restaurants in our city centre should be safe spaces for us all to enjoy and we simply will not tolerate such violence on our streets.
