Organizers are still hoping that the men’s triathlon will take place tomorrow morning in Paris after today’s postponement.

The Executive Director of Sports for the Paris Games, Aurélie Merle, informed the media that the men’s triathlon race is rescheduled to start at 10:45 a.m. local time (4:45 a.m. ET), following the women’s event that kicks off at 8 a.m. (2 a.m. ET).

Merle emphasized that both the men’s and women’s triathlon races are contingent upon water quality levels meeting the required thresholds set by World Triathlon. This precaution is essential to ensure the well-being of the participants and maintain the integrity of the competition.

“We are collaborating closely with World Triathlon and various stakeholders to explore all possible options, taking into account the weather forecast, to ensure that the triathlons proceed as planned,” Merle stated.
